Reform

The Reform Movement is the largest organized body of Jews in the United States.

Member synagogues are affiliated through the URJ - Union for Reform Judaism (formerly UAHC - Union of American Hebrew Congregations).

The Rabbinic Leadership is organized through the CCAR (Central Conference of American Rabbis).

You can see some of the approaches to American Jewish life taken by the Reform Rabbis through documents available at the CCAR website.  Looking at these documents is not a substitute for discussion with the local rabbi or synagogue.  It just is one of many resources to gain understanding about this tradition within Judaism and the perspectives of some of its leaders concerning Jewish life and Jewish learning.

Reform Cantors are organized through the ACC (American Conference of Cantors).

Reform Jewish leaders are usually trained through HUC-JIR (Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institution of Religion).

URJ Commission on Outreach and Membership website lists resources for anyone desiring to learn more about Reform Judaism.
