Mohamed Salih

Presently represents the Southeast Wyoming Islamic Center.  He is one of their co-founders.  Mr. Salih initially joined the CIC serving as the representative of the Islamic Center of Cheyenne  from 2008 - 2010.
He was elected to the office of CIC Co-Secretary in 2009 and again in 2010.  During those years the office of Co-Secretary has been shared with a representative from Mt. Sinai Synagogue.  The Islamic and Jewish communities not only work together in the leadership of the Cheyenne Interfaith Council, but both also serve to help homeless families through their respective work with Family Promise Cheyenne: an Interfaith Hospitality Network as supporting congregations. In 2009 he joined the Board of Family Promise Cheyenne: an Interfaith Hospitality Network which in August 2010 changed its name to Family Promise Cheyenne: an Interfaith Hospitality Network. That oranization is an interfaith response which shelters homeless children and their families.  Many faith communities from the Cheyenne Interfaith Council are active with Family Promise Cheyenne.

Mohamed Salih serves the Islamic Center of Cheyenne as one of its leaders since ______ until he left to help establish the Southeast Wyoming Islamic Center. For many years, he has taught courses about Islam and the Holy Koran at Laramie County Community College.
