5/18/10   Islamic Center of Cheyenne this meeting will include election of officers.  Please be sure to attend this last scheduled regular meeting before the summer break.  Other special meetings may be arranged after this one, but this is the one where we will elect our leadership team for the upcoming year.

Our meetings will begin at 7:30am and conclude by 8:30am. Additional programs after some of the meetings may occur on an individual location basis.
 * The meeting on April 20, 2010 will run longer than usual to allow for some organizational development planning.  We plan to have the Visioning Discussion as an extended meeting at our April 20 meeting.  Please plan to meet with us that morning from 7:30am to 11:30am.
The Interfaith Council has a break in its meetings June - August.  Meetings will resume in September. There are other activities during this time that are either sponsored or endorsed by the Interfaith Council.

"Find Peace at the Heavenly Harp Concert" featuring harpist, Karin Gunderson, Tuesday, May 18 at 7:00 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 218 E. 19th Street.  Enjoy a combination of harp solos, inspirational stories from Karin’s work as a hospice harpist and peaceful music featuring  vocals along with harp.

1st Annual Cheyenne Interfaith Council Picnic - June 13, 2010 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the North Shade (by the Swimming Pool) at Lions Park. 
September 11, 2010  In the week leading up to the 9th anniversary of the attacks on our country by terrorists, we as Americans saw something occurring by a vociferous minority which was as equally vile and repugnant to most Americans, especially those who work together to build interfaith understanding.  Ugly hateful attacks on Muslims and their sacred text, The Holy Koran were becoming more shrill and threatening.   When there was insufficient time and means to poll all of the members of the Cheyenne Interfaith Council, its executive board made a courageous stand to take an official position of support of religious tolerance and interfaith respect.  It not only took its public stand but officially endorsed an event organized by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cheyenne in protest against those who threatened to burn The Holy Koran, in Florida and on the steps of our State Capitol.  The details of that historical record are too large to place on this page so a separate one was created just for part of this organization's history.   That page can be found at the link below:
